Loving Family Feudin'

Ok, so the title might be a BIT misleading. I don't like fighting. At all. Especially with family. In fact, my family doesn't fight. We're all nice and normal and everybody just gets along. It makes the world go round.

But this week, I'm IN LOVE with the Hatfields & McCoys over on the History Channel!! Ohmiword yall. If you're not watching this mini-series...well, you just need to be that's all there is to it! Tonight is the final installment of this 3 part series. If you start early enough, you can see the first two episodes before the final one.

Meet Kevin Costner as Devil Anse Hatfield & Bill Paxton as Randolph McCoy. Ahhhhmazing.

The McCoys
The Hatfields
Then there's the forbidden love story of Johnse Hatfield and Roseanna McCoy. Tell me these people aren't gorgeous!!
And possibly even MORE gorgeous in "present" day.
Alright, that's all I've got. I love this series and I'll be sad when it's over. You should watch. The end.

Now, on to less vane things that I love. T-Ball....I love watching Riley and his little friends play ball. The regular season wrapped up last night, and it's on to tournament play next week! Riley in a tournament...who would've thought! These couple of pics were from last Tuesday's game in the rain. Colin...just like a honey badger...he didn't care.
Neither did big brother. Rain just meant the dirt turned to mud.
Then on Thursday night, he "graduated" from PreSchool!

 Ready for Kindergarten!!
The Three Amigos.
My sis and her beautiful family!!
Mom and Dad..the proud Granddad & Granna
Then we posed a little too much for this pic. Check out Riley's leg action. That's legit yall.
Oh...and yesterday was 7  months for Stephen & I. To most of you reading this, 7 months has NOTHING on you, but we're quite proud of it! We've got a ways to go, but we're excited for the ride!!

Homeboy showed up with these beauties last night!!! I just love him!
I heart tulips...but that's probably a given with my blog title, eh?
What are you loving on this wonderful day? Head on over to Jamie's blog and see what others are loving!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

HAPPY FRIDAY & 3 DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!

I know I owe you a proper post-wedding wrap-up post and it's coming soon, I promise!! There were just sooo many details to Sarah & Rob's BIG day, it's hard to decide what to include and what to leave out. But I'm working on it!

I've also been busy with several orders the past few weeks, so I've got all of those to share with you too! Let's start with this cutie pie. Ordered by my famed photog, Julie over at Capture Photography, for one of her customers, this "Watch Baby Grow" canvas is perfect to display pics of your little one at 3, 6, 9 & 12 months.
Now, the pics I used for samples are NOT Isabella Ruth Geesling. They are of my cousin, the pretty little Lorelei Elizabeth Kase. Julie has picked some of her favorite shots of Isabella through her first year to display in her studio to show other clients the finished package after photographing their child's first year. Annnddd..because she ROCKS, she thought it might drum up some business for yours truly. 2 birds. 1 stone.
Julie gave me the green light to do whatever I wanted and I LOVE it with all my heart! I've been wanting to try something a little different on a "Watch Baby Grow"..something simple & delicate with a pop to make it stand out. Enter our little birdie. LOVE THAT!!!!
Thanks Julie...you're the greatest! Show her some love...check out her website here and follow Capture Photography on Facebook here!

Annnd...here's a sneaky peak of another little girlie one, obviously.
Have a great weekend. We'll be spending the day in beautiful Nashville tomorrow with some friends and Monday on the lake (hopefully...fingers crossed!)

**P.S. I didn't cry one bit at Riley's little graduation last night!!!!! So proud of myself!! Now, on the way home...different story. Totally different story.**

Ready for Big Kid School

Today, this little guy and his two best buds will graduate PreSchool and head to Kindergarten later in the Summer. I cannot believe this day is already here. 5 years has FLOWN by faster than I ever imagined. But at the same time, it seems like forever ago when he was this little.

I couldn't do this post without throwing in Riley's favorite song, which is also appropriate for this stage in his life. Click play (skip to the 0:30 mark for the actual start of the song if you're in a hurry) and then enjoy some pics of the Life of Riley. (thus far)
Day 1:

Brotherly Love

Crazy about hockey!!
Love this guy!
"Well one time.....when we went to San Juan....................Puerto Rico."
Love watching him play ball the past few years!
3 Graduates. 3 Teammates. 3 Best Friends. Riley, Gernt & Colin
Silly faces.

Favorite place in town...Ralph's Donuts.

Riley, I love you more than you'll EVER know. You're smart, hilarious and oh so handsome! I secretly hope you'll always ask me to "scratch my back Erica." The world is your's! Enjoy this ride!!

Call Me Maybe

**DISCLAIMER: READERS MAY EXPERIENCE TOTAL LOSS OF RESPECT FOR BLOGGER AFTER THIS POST. OR HAVE A CERTAIN POP SONG STUCK IN THEIR HEAD THE REST OF THE DAY. EITHER WAY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.**

We all are fully aware that I'm a HUGE country music fan. EVERY now and then, I'll get hooked on certain "Pop" songs.

Enter, Carly Rae Jepsen...

It ain't like this song is going to change the world. But it has struck a chord with many "fans" if you will to make their own music videos to this song. Most of them being far superior to the original video made by the new popster. And that my friends, is why I'm loving this catchy little hit. (Yes, I just used ain't in a blog post...it happens.)

Videos have been popping up left and right on YouTube featuring celebrities, sports teams, and regular Joe's. Without further adieu........here are my favorites....

In the celebrity category, we've got the original remake that went viral with MILLIONS of hits featuring Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale & some new boy band that I don't know.
Then, there's E's Fashion Police version...can we say train wreck?
Then, there's the regular Joe's. These girls are all bloggers, and it was because of their joined video post that this song is forever seared into my brain.
It's become a big sensation among the travelling college sports teams...my personal fave...the boys of Harvard Baseball.

It's stuck in your head now, isn't it? You are welcome.

Call Me! Maybe.

A So What Kind of Saturday

Saturday afternoon, S & I headed to Nashville with Chuck, Emilee & Ben for a little shopping. The "Thousand Year Flood" of May 2010 closed Opry Mills and just within the past few weeks, they've reopened the doors so we went to check out all that was new and some of the old favorites.

All strapped in and ready to go....
Until we hit this....
So we waited....
And waited...
ANND waited...
And "Shelly & Melissa" partied luau style behind us. Yes, I reached the point of boredom that led me to take random photos of cars around us, and give them stories, so what?
This little trooper didn't mind the wait.
FINALLY, we made it to our dinner destination. Hands up for those of you who've dined here before?!!
Served up family style was this fried food overload. Catfish, fries, hushpuppies, chicken, pickles, cornbread, & cole slaw. YUMM-O. Oh and yes, we ate out of "dogfood pans" as Em called them, so what?
Classy ladies use regular size straws for mini metal cups, so what?
Yeah, that's us in a huge rocking chair, so what?
And the Wilson's gave it a whirl too.
Eventually, we got to Opry Mills and one of the first (and new) stores we spotted was a game store. And I LOVE me some board games, card games, any kind of game really. Needless to say, I was a tiinsy bit excited when I found this...
To answer your question, no I didn't buy it.

About an hour and a half later and having briskly walked only HALF of the mall, we hear the announcement  that the mall would be closing in 5 minutes. Seriously? Stupid weekend road construction / traffic jam.

No need to fret...we all have empty calendars for this coming Saturday, so we're going back to finish what we started. (And we're going to leave home alot earlier this time.)

Lesson learned.

Happy Monday!!!
