Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday

Ittttt's it's time for a link up party!!

Angela's still hanging in there! Her due date was yesterday and I was secretly hoping for a Leap Day baby today, but it looks as if it's not going to happen. She goes back to her doc on Monday...say a little prayer Baby Anna will come on her own soon!! Nate and Angela...and the rest of us are all more than ready to meet her!

How many of you LOVE Zulily?? I've been reading other bloggers finding some great deals on the site so I finally signed up this week and OHMIWORD!!! I've not bought anything yet, but there's some great finds I'm hoping I can still snatch up before the day's over with!!

Tennessee and Kentucky have seen some rough weather today. We're under a tornado warning as I type this actually. Keep everyone in your prayers for their safety the rest of the afternoon and tonight and for the families of those that lost their lives in the storms in Missouri and Illinois.

Now Playing...

Ok, so  here's the deal, I've been listening to this guy, Ben Rector for a few months now..I'm not sure how my musical world has revolved without him before now. Annywhoodles, he has re-done (is that a for real word?) the Whitney Houston classic, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" which is my favorite WH song.

Now, according to this video, it was recordered back in January before she passed away, so I like and appreciate that it's not just a, "whoa, let's jump on the Whitney bandwagon and remake her song as a tribute." But just a tribute to great music.

Don't you just LOVE it!! I LOVE it. That's all that matters, right? Right. For your Monday Music listening pleasure, two of my other fave Ben Rector tunes, "White Dress" & "Thank God I Miss You."

Also for Monday, here's a cute 14x14 ordered for a Baby Shower gift. Love those colors!!

Happy Monday!!!

Pin Lovin'!!!!!

It's WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!! And it's come a small flood in Middle TN today. Sure wish I had some rainboots for my walk in this morning.

Some days are hit and miss for me on Pinterest, and this week has been a hit kinda week! Love when that happens.

Head on over to the Vintage Apple and see more great Pinterest finds for this week!

And because bullet points are often the most effective way to get random thoughts out there...
  • Last night I made a YUMMY chicken tortilla soup, mexican corn bread and king cake for dinner! It was my first attempt at a King Cake, and since it was Mardi Gras, why not?!
  • One of my best gal pals, Angela and her hubs Nate are still waiting on Baby Anna. Annnny day now. How long have I been saying that on here? But seriously, any day now.
  • In the meantime, and because she feels up to it, I'm looking forward to a GNO with Ang and some other girls tonight. (Who knows, maybe it'll involve a trip to the hospital!!)
  • My tan from Hawaii is same as gone. And that makes me sad.
  • When I want to see out my office down the hall, I have to lean to the right from my chair to look out the door. Which makes for awkward situations sometimes. I know these people passing by must think I'm acting 3rd Grade Hall Monitor on them. That's all I'm going to say.
  • Pretty sure, I'm taking a handgun safety course this Spring, followed by getting my handgun carry permit. Time to get a little redneck up in here.
  • I organized all the recipes I've ever printed off the internet into a neatly organized binder over the weekend. It was a proud moment. I found myself just looking at it with googly eyes ever since.
  • It was really great to see my aunt and uncle back at church Sunday. They've both been battling different health issues for what has seemed like forever now. It was just wonderful having them back!
  • Riley has seemed to be attached to me lately. And the selfish part of me will admit, that I'm loving it!, that kid just would rather be left alone for eternity I think.

That's if for today....Grab your rainboots and stay dry folks!!

Sunny Days...

Sweepin' the clouds away

On my way

To where the air is sweet. (Although I'll admit when I was little I thought it was "to where the air is clean," who knows..I was kind of a neat freak even then. I mean, of course!! Clean air!)

Can you tell me how to get...

How to get to Sesame Street.

Come and play, everything's A-OK

Friendly neighbors there, that's where we meet.

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street.

I think it's the bright primary colors in these two pieces that make me think of Sesame Street. I'm pretty sure I've posted the "Connor" pics before as part of the whole order of 6x6's that you see a couple pics above, but it calls for another post, because I thought of it while working up the "Miles Thomas" post.

I loved Sesame Street growing up, but seriously now, who didn't? Who was your favorite Sesame Street resident?? Mine was Grover! Bless his heart, he just tried so hard at everything he did and wore his heart on his sleeve and I guess I always felt like he was kinda like the underdog...and everyone with a beating heart should root for the underdog.

Ready for a little Music Monday?? Here's a flashback to your childhood!

And wouldn't you know, here's a more recent, grown up version that I can't get out of my head now. You are welcome!!

Today's blog has been brought to you by the number 5 and the letter E.

My Favorite Valentines

Hey Gals!! Today I'm linking up for two fun Wednesday series....WILW and Oh, How Pinteresting!

I FINALLY got all my laundry done from vacation and COMPLETELY unpacked and suitcases neatly all back into storage. If you know me personally, you know how big of a thorne in my side that was! But it's over and I feel so accomplished for it. It's the little things!!

After assembling my Valentine treats for the kids at church, S got crafty with the leftover Starburst. Ain't he precious?!

With a little help from his Sunday School teachers, Colin brought me this little heart warmer!! wouldn't be a holiday without two cute boys cuddled in a chair eating ice cream...

and one of them wearing a Spiderman mask. Totally normal. Gosh I love these two!! Even though Riley was heartbroken when he opened his Valentine gift yesterday. With pitiful tears all he could say was, "This is NOT the present I was dreaming about!!" Poor guy. Seems as though he told my sister / his mom what he wanted for Valentines Day back a couple months ago, "I told you what I wanted for Valentine's Day on Christmas morning!!" Good memory that kid has. Sooo..Cupid forgot the Christmas request and the Easter Bunny will be ready!

And just because I love them oh so much! Here's my white tulips again!! Gosh I just love them too!!

And a couple days later, they start doing their thing and spread out in all directions.

My mom, bless her, still gives me and my sister bags of little V-Day goodies and this was the cutest one I thought!! We used to LOVE Hello Kitty when we were little! Some kids asked to be taken to the toy store, I asked to go to the "Hello Kitty Store"!

A guy at work who's a couple offices down from mine sent me this email and I laughed loud enough that he heard me when I opened it.

I've been doing 2 so completely different workouts that they would never ever ever ever ever be considered in the same awards category at the Oscars if such a category existed different work outs, and I'm feeling the difference. And by difference I mean soreness in places that have never hurt before.

Insanity Kicks. My. Tail. but I'm fairly certain that's the point of it, right? Choosing Bethenny Frankel's workout, well...that was a bandwagon choice. I'm a fan of hers, and I knew she wouldn't endorse something that was out of this world difficult, yet it would still be effective. She makes me laugh..even during the workout. And personally, I think a good laugh is a necessity when a girl is sweatin' like a hog and feelin' like a fool.
