Halloween Treats

I saw this idea on Pinterest...because let's just face it, it's about the best website there has ever been. Ever. I decided to make these treats to give out to kids at tonight's Trunk or Treat.

You will need...

Graham crackers, chocolate bars, Peeps Ghosts, cellophane bags and some cute ribbon...Get where I'm going with this??

Halloween S'mores!

Bag 'em up

32 bags later...there ya are. Now, how much MORE do you love this that pre-bagged candy??

Next, for a Halloween dessert treat...

You will need. 1 box of Brownie mix, 2 eggs, oil, water, cool whip, various candy bars, red & yellow food coloring & Halloween or Fall sprinkles

Prepare brownie batter as directed on the box (but don't use all of it. Normal 13x9 size box is 19 something oz. You only need 16 oz, but I couldn't find a 16oz box) - Spread onto a greased pizza pan. Bake at 350 for 15 min. Let cool completely.

In the meantime....

Mix 15 drops of yellow and 3 drops of red food coloring into your cool whip. It should be orange when you're done.

Chop up your candy bars. You can use 12 mini size or 2 regular size bars..whatever kind you want. I had Heathe and Twix on hand, so that's what you see here. (In the first picture there was a bag of chocolate chips and Reeces pieces, I thought about using those, but ended up not...YOU however can deck this thing out to your little heart's desire.)

Spread cool whip onto brownies, top with chopped candy bars and sprinkles and voila....

Halloween Candy Bar Brownie Pizza!

Don't forget to keep this thing refrigerated. Slice it up however you want to serve it. And transporting it from location A to location B...well, I've not gotten that far yet. I'll find a way as will you!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

Shopper's Paradise was a HUGE hit and a HUGE success!! Thank you all so much for coming out and showing your support and placing those Christmas orders!

If you picked up one of my cards yesterday are new to visiting my blog, welcome!! Pull up a chair and sit a spell and you're always welcome back tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that!

My friend Emily Stebing sold along side me yesterday. She is a 31 Gifts rep so you will see some of her pieces mixed in with my little lovelies. She's got some great deals going on right now and who doesn't love 31?!?! Send me an email and I'll give you her info!

Here's some pics for those of you who missed it yesterday.....

I have updated the Orders to Fill list on the right hand side of this screen. It is as up-to-date as it can possibly be. Here's how I've arranged my list: It is in order by need by dates. I had some specific dates, like by 11/12/11, but mostly were need by Thanksgiving, need by Christmas. So they're grouped that way. Keep in mind even though they're grouped by date, I will paint in "alike groups". Meaning, if #5 on the list is a gingerbread man order and so is #25, I'll do those at the same time - assembly line style. With me?? ALSO, keep in mind that MOST names listed consist of MULTIPLE orders per customer. If I've counted correctly, I have 48 canvases on order! 48!!!

THAT being said, I'm not painting today or tomorrow. I'm enjoying my weekend and will pick up a brush again on Monday. This afternoon is Trunk or Treat at church. I have a great idea for trick or treaters this year!! I'm soo excited!! Gotta go get those put together. Check back in a few hours and I'll show you what I did. It's easy and you've got time to do this before Monday night's trick or treaters!! You will LOVE it!!!

Teacher, Teacher

I started working on & delivering Christmas orders a few weeks ago. Yes, I said CHRISTMAS ORDERS.

One of my best customers, Emily Rich, ordered canvases again this year for her daughters' school teachers.

This teacher has a tiger / bear themed classroom. I love how these colors turned out and my ode to animal print too!

The only prerequisite I was given for the other was that it needed to be girlie. Done. Easy.

Have YOU thought about what you're getting your kids' teachers for Christmas this year? How about a cute little sign for their door or desk like these? I can match a classroom theme, the teacher's personal interest or school colors!

Now's the time..get those orders in!! You have one week left before I close down for Christmas!

Fun Stuff

Saturday morning was the 3rd annual Haunted Half Marathon. Proceeds went the CRMC Foundation's Cancer Care Fund. With over 500 runners registered, myself and few co-workers got up way to early that morning to set up and man our water and gatorade station to keep those runners hydrated.

This year, we themed our station from the Big Bang Theory. If you don't watch the show, then you're not going to get it. Sorry...you just won't. Here's some quick pics I snapped before the runners came through. The sun had just risen and boy was it bright!

A couple hours later it was off to the Anderson Family Reunion. Ann Marie was home and I was soo happy. Soooooo many people have been telling us for the past few months that we look alike or could be sisters. I don't know...maybe I kinda see it? I'm still undecided. What do you think?

Sarah, AM & I - later on this afternoon, we (along with Jared & Rob) would go see Footloose. Personally, I thought it was fabulous! So many parts were word. for. word. exact to the original movie! I've always loved the original so I didn't really have any expectations for this re-make, but I loved it. Hands down. I loved it! I would go see it again. And buy it.

Then as is customary, we had to do at least one goofy pose and we talked our grandma into doing it too. Bless her. And bless Jared....obviously he didn't want to do this, but like the trooper he's always been with all of us girls..he did it anyway.

The ladies: My grandma, mom, sister, aunts & cousins...minus Libby. Love them all soo much!

Great October Saturday!!

**TOMORROW - You're coming to the Shopper's Paradise at CRMC. 7a-5p. Stop kidding yourself, you know you're coming.**

Mr. & Mrs. Allison

I told you earlier about my "little brother" John and his beautiful bride, Brittany that would soon be tying the knot and how I had the privilege of "coordinating" their wedding and decorating for the Rehearsal Dinner.

John's parents wanted to host the Rehearsal Dinner at the church so that everything for that night would be in the same location. So I made it happen. It was a gorgeous Fall day so I could NOT pass up having the dinner outside!

Dessert Table including Amy's fabulous pumpkin rolls! YUMMM!!!

Now for some details inside the church and reception. Brittany did a great job with all the little touches!!

LOOK!!! It's the sign I made for them! I was so touched when I saw she had placed it front and center when guests walked in to the church! Instead of a traditional guest book, there were squares of fabric for guests to sign. Later on these squares will be used to make a quilt for J & B. The center section of the quilt has already been pieced together and is displayed on the front of the table.

Another little sign outside that Brittany had me paint their monogram on.

J&B had a Dessert Reception and my oh my was it tasty!!! Lots of goodies to dip in different chocolates, a smoothie bar and two incredible cakes!

 The reception in full swing..

Me and the Risley girls, Molly & Rachel. Or as the other Risley, Angie called it "the perfect stairstep."

The newlyweds left on John's motorcycle. Well ok, they didn't REALLY leave, they just pretended to for pictures sake. And look at that great little dress B changed into!

J&B used Ellie Odom Photography and the few that I've seen on Facebook are just beautiful!! Can't wait to see more!! Aren't they a gorgeous couple?!?!!!!

A beautiful day for a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple! Congrats John & Brittany!! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your special day!
